Bobbi Gibb felt free when she ran; it was her joy and passion. After being refused an application for the Boston marathon because she was a woman, Bobbi decided to run it anyway to prove to everyone she was capable. Becoming the first woman to run the Boston marathon, Bobbi triumphantly crossed the finish line, inspiring many women to follow in her footsteps.
