As large buildings and cities begin rising up, the fresh green grass and soft brown soil begin to disappear. Families eagerly wonder if there will be any green left and what might happen next. The community decides to come together and plant a garden to bring back the green. In this book, creative poetry and vibrant colors combine to excellently convey the joys of creating community gardens. Its message inspires young readers to help bring back green by making small improvements in their own communities. Featuring art by Sonia Sánchez, the adorable illustrations bloom across the pages and bring the story to life.
