This engaging story tells the adventures of Kävik, who is half wolf and half husky. He is in a plane crash in Alaska and is barely alive when a boy finds him. The boy and his family nurse Kävik back to health. After a businessman takes Kävik to California, Kävik escapes and tries to make it back to Alaska.
