Keep the Lights Burning, Abbie by Peter & Connie Roop

Keep the Lights Burning, Abbie

Level 2
Review:

Abbie’s tale of courage and endurance is based on the true story of an 1856 storm off the coast of Maine. This book has high educational value. The writing includes a lot of simple sentences, but it does contain strong verbs and some literary devices, such as personification. The book is 40 pages long with large print and pictures on every page. This is a quick but worthwhile read for early readers.
