Little Manfred is a historical story of how fate brought back a prisoner of war to be reacquainted with a girl he had shown kindness to when she was a child. This story shows the tragedy of war but also the humanity of all soldiers. This is a book from the perspective of Charley as she learns of how their dog’s name came to be Manfred. This book does have scenes of war in it with people dying.
