Louisa May Alcott was an amazingly gifted writer. The moral, literary, and educational value of Little Women is of the highest merit. As the official description reads: “The four March sisters–Meg, Amy, Beth, and feisty Jo–share the joys and sorrows of growing up while their father is away at war. The family is poor in worldly goods, but rich in love and character.” This is a true classic—a pure, honest, timeless, rich story full of beautiful writing and moral lessons. On LibriVox.org, I only recommend the Version 3 Dramatic Reading of this book.
