Madelon’s Journey
Leaving her quiet village along the beautiful Saguenay River, little French-Canadian Madelon is sent to stay with her aunt Marie, whom Madelon has not seen in many years, while her father works as a scout in the Great North Woods. Though she begins her trip with some fear and trepidation, Madelon’s journey soon proves to be full of exciting experiences and opportunities—from singing with her cousins for the tourists on the beautiful, sandy beaches of Tadoussac to visiting the energetic, bustling city of Québec, where Madelon hopes to reunite with her father. The last part of her journey, however, may hold even greater blessings for Madelon and her father—blessings that could change their lives forever.
