Helen Fuller Orton is a fantastic children’s author. In fact, one of her books is included in our Level 3 language arts curriculum. Published in 1953, Mystery of the Hidden Book follows the story of two sets of siblings and their adventures. A professor has a valuable book, and the children are asked to find it and send it to him. However, the children soon realize that a thief is also searching for the book. Although Helen Fuller Orton’s mysteries do not have strong moral messages, they are wholesome, clean, fun entertainment.
