Review:

In Judith Berry Griffin’s Phoebe the Spy, young Phoebe Fraunces is sent by her father to work as George Washington’s housekeeper during the tense days of the Revolutionary War in New York. Her real job, however, is a secret and dangerous one: She must listen and watch for clues to uncover a plot to assassinate General Washington. The suspense builds as Phoebe tries to identify the traitor in the household before it’s too late. This book is a fantastic, fast-paced read that powerfully shows how even a quiet person can show incredible courage and make a difference.
