Powwow Day

It is the morning of the powwow, and River wakes up beaming with joy. That is, until she remembers she won’t be able to dance this year. She has been dealing with a challenging illness for a while and won’t be able to participate in the celebrations like she usually does. Devastated, River is determined to dance anyway. She watches through tears at the dance she would’ve been in if she was feeling well; but instead of letting it bring her down, she finds hope in the words, “I will dance again.”
