Based on a true story, this picture book tells of Ron McNair, a young African American boy in 1959. Ron loves reading at the library, but only white people are allowed to check books out of the library. Ron knows this isn’t fair and decides to stand up for himself. This is a beautiful story of courage and how one simple choice can have an effect on the world around us.
