The loveable characters, intriguing plot, and incredible writing style make Set the Stars Alight one of my all time favorite books. In modern day London, Lucy is reunited with her childhood friend, Dash, when they begin working together to find the remains of a legendary shipwreck. The story alternates between the story of Lucy and Dash, and the story of Frederick Hanford, the man who sailed the ship in the 1800s and was acused of treason. The book beautifully explores themes of friendship, the loss of loved ones, sacrifice, selflessness, forgiveness, faith in God, and love through a compelling plot that makes it hard to put down.
