She Persisted: Harriet Tubman is a book that is strong and memorable, and it is a quick read. It introduces readers to Harriet Tubman and all she accomplished while relying on God and displaying characteristics of perseverance, bravery, and self-sacrifice. Readers will see how Harriet was able to achieve so much because she believed in something and never gave up fighting for it. I found this book to be very informational in a simple, direct way for young readers to easily understand this dark time period in a way that is not too harsh for the reading level. I highly recommend this book!
