In this quick, feel-good read from Lynn Austin, newlyweds Adelaide and Howard take in a little boy, Jack, who has run away from an orphanage. Jack is convinced he is not, in fact, an orphan, and his father is coming home for Christmas. As Addy and Howard help Jack search all over New York City for his father and his younger sister, they also must learn to navigate the challenges that come from joining their two very different lives. This book may feel a little bit cheesy at times to some, but I loved the messages of hope, faith, humility, and charity.
