Review:

This book follows the stories of three generations, taking place in a small Maine town. Inextricably intertwined with the sea and War, the lives tangle and untangle throughout the story. This was an incredibly rich, detailed story with many layers. There are strong messages of faith, loyalty, family, courage, trust, truth, and light woven throughout the entire book. This book does include some wholesome romance and love stories. Faithful, committed love is a theme throughout the book. I enjoyed the writing, the character development, the metaphors and motifs, the setting, and the history woven throughout this book. There are also many literary references throughout which are lovely.
