Wind Riders: Rescue on Turtle Beach follows Max and Sofia’s adventures on a magical boat that transports them to Hawaii, where turtle hatchlings are in danger. With a new friend and some courage, they work together to find a way to get the baby turtles to the ocean in time. This was a cute and quick read, which includes themes of friendship and being a good steward of one’s environment. This book is perfect for younger readers who are ready for chapter books but enjoy periodic illustrations.

Note: This book does contain a brief mention of the world being millions of years old.
