A Tree for Peter by Kate Seredy

A Tree for Peter

By Kate Seredy
Level 4
Review:

This is another one of Kate Seredy’s meaningful and inspiring stories filled with beautiful descriptions and clever writing. The story begins with a poor, lonely boy named Peter, who lived in sad, dingy Shantytown. The houses were all run down, the people were sad and hopeless, and garbage lined the streets. But one day Peter meets a friend who gives him the simple gift of a little red spade. Through that gift and Peter’s hope and love, the town is transformed and a miracle takes place.
