Childhood of Famous Americans Series
I really like this series and so do my daughters. Forgiveness, manners, love of learning, hard work, perseverance, and good attitude are all emphasized. This series contains great writing for this reading level, using just the right amount of varied vocabulary, description, and sentence structure, while still making the story very interesting for children.
