Review:

I really like this author and this series, and so do my daughters.  Forgiveness, manners, love of learning, hard work, perseverance, and good attitude are all emphasized. This series contains great writing for this reading level, using just the right amount of varied vocabulary, description, and sentence structure, while still making the story very interesting for children.

Books in this series we have reviewed and recommend: Louisa May Alcott: Young Novelist, Sitting Bull: Dakota Boy, Laura Ingalls Wilder: Young Pioneer, Elizabeth Blackwell: Girl Doctor, Benjamin Franklin: Young Printer, Betsy Ross: Designer of our Flag, Helen Keller: From Tragedy to Triumph, Margaret Bourke-White: Young Photographer, Langston Hughes: Young Black Poet, Crazy Horse: Young War Chief, Crispus Attucks: Black Leader of Colonial Patriots, Martha Washington: America’s First First Lady, Thurgood Marshall: Young Justice, Molly Pitcher: Young Patriot, Albert Einstein: Young Thinker, John Muir: Young Naturalist, John Adams: Young Revolutionary, Jesse Owens: Young Record Breaker, Wilma Rudolph: Olympic Runner, Arthur Ashe: Young Tennis Champion, Jim Thorpe: Olympic Champion, Babe Ruth: One of Baseball’s Greatest, Jackie Robinson: Young Sports Trailblazer, Thomas A. Edison: Young Inventor, Clara Barton: Founder of the American Red Cross
