Adam of the Road

By Elizabeth Janet Gray
Level 8
Review:

This is an engaging middle-grades historical fiction work that is well-written with beautiful descriptions. The story follows the journey and transformation of the main character, Adam, as he is in minstrel training in medieval England. He overcomes multiple challenges and perseveres against all odds. Please note that there are brief references to fairies, a witch, and a magician. Also, note that this book is more slow-paced than other books on the list and is not recommended for those not used to slower-paced literature.
