Review:

A lonely dog searches for a home and develops a friendship with a cocky and friendless hen. I have
read and loved other books by DeJong, and reviewers that I usually agree with said this was one of
their favorite books to do as a read-aloud. DeJong’s books are not full of fast action, but they are well
written and explore small, delightful topics that promote and strengthen Christlike behavior. The book
is 172 pages with larger print. The first two chapters are a little slow, but then it picks up.
