This sweet and funny book by the wonderful author Elizabeth Coatsworth was originally published in 1934. The book is a hidden treasure and absolutely delighted my girls. This book is set in the era shortly before the War of 1812 and is rich with details of life in early America. This book, about a girl named Sally who travels with her family to a new land, is the first in a series.
