Review:

Written by the author of Caddie Woodlawn, this book has been a childhood favorite for decades. This wholesome story tells of two sisters who are traveling to Australia to visit their father when a storm causes the ship to wreck. The girls end up stranded in the lifeboats with four babies. After two nights, they land on a deserted island and have to figure out how to survive and take care of the babies. The story displays courage, compassion, and taking responsibility. Young girls should love this story’s plot and characters.
