This book is a sequel to Caddie Woodlawn. I agree with a review by the New Yorker that reads: “The writing is fresh and homely happenings ring true not only of a period and a way of life but of childhood anytime and anywhere.” This book gives readers insight into life on the frontier in the mid-1900s. If you liked Caddie Woodlawn, you will like this book too!
