Florence Nightingale—The Angel of the Crimea
Although this nonfiction book is written with challenging vocabulary and skillful, complex writing, it has high entertainment value. Richards is a master storyteller. In this book, she brings Florence Nightingale and her time period to life through lively, wonderful writing. I have loved many of Richards’ fiction books, but I was impressed that, even in a nonfiction book, she wove in her witty sense of humor. This book is definitely one of my top picks. I highly recommend the Audible version of the book.
