Review:

I loved this book! Based on a true story, this book is about a boy named Tibor who lives with his family Budapest during WWII. Their city was famous for its hippos, including Tibor’s favorite, Hanna. But when the war escalates, the zoo runs out of hay to feed the animals. Tibor and his family join with the rest of the town to save Hanna and the rest of the hippos. The illustrations are lovely and the story is heartwarming.
