Heidi Grows Up
In 1930, many years after the author of Heidi (Johanna Spyri) died, her French translator adapted and pulled together some of her short stories to create a sequel to Heidi. Although I did not like the sequel, Heidi Grows Up, as much as I liked the first book, I really enjoyed it and found it to be a worthwhile read. It follows the lives of Heidi, Peter, Brigitte, Klara, and Grandfather as Heidi goes away to school, makes new friends, and faces important decisions about her future.
