Review:

Note: Catholics should be aware that this book takes a Protestant worldview.

This book sat on my shelf for two years before I read it because the cover did not appeal to me. However, I’m so glad I finally decided to read this fantastic book; it is a treasure. Packed with educational and literary merit, this book tells the story of two twin sisters who are Huguenots living in La Rochelle, France, in 1685. I was educated, entertained, and inspired by the sacrifice and faith of the characters. So many good values and messages are promoted in this book. It would make a great family read-aloud.
