Review:

Mae Reeves was a creative, strong, and influential black woman in a world that was dull, segregated, and uninviting. She dreamed of sharing her talent for designing one-of-a-kind hats with people, but the path to do that was blocked by injustice. Nevertheless, Mae made a way. I learned so much in this book and was deeply touched by Mae’s story. It is very educational and a little on the long side; perfect for more mature readers.
