McBroom’s Wonderful One-Acre Farm
My whole family loved this 63-page book (broken into 3 different stories) that my husband did as a read-aloud. This book is an example of literature that is absolutely hilarious while being absolutely appropriate. Written in 1966, this ageless classic centers around a positive, upright, and very large family. Elevated vocabulary, figurative language, and witty writing abound in this very fun book. The sequel, Here Comes McBroom, is also appropriate.
