In the novel, Mik-Shrok: Adventures of an Arctic Missionary by Gloria Repp, missionaries Steve and Liz Bailey are faced with the challenge of surviving in Koyalik, Alaska without a guide or interpreter. They are forced to adapt to their new surroundings, overcoming language and cultural barriers. With the help of an unlikely dogsled team, they grow in their faith, perseverance, and cultural understanding amidst adversity in their missionary work. Reading this book built my faith; it is amazing to read and see how the Lord worked out each detail!
