This sequel to Pat of Silver Bush is highly recommended. It would not work well as a stand-alone, so read Pat of Silver Bush first. I liked the beautiful messages about the joys we can gain from family, homemaking, and nature—such different messages than many books promote today. This book does contain romance, but it is very wholesome and not sensationalized—the way romance should be.
