This is a great book from Kenneth Thomasma’s series of books about Native American children. It was not my very favorite book from the series, but it is definitely interesting and worthwhile. The story, based on true events, follows a Shoshoni girl who is taken captive by a rival Indian tribe but escapes and travels alone for a month, trying to survive as she finds her way home.
