Nory Ryan’s Song
Set in Ireland during the Great Hunger in the 1840s, this book tells the story of the fictional character Nory Ryan, a brave, positive, and persevering girl. Readers of all ages, even young children, should find the story very engaging. It would make a great family read-aloud. I loved the wonderful messages in the book and the way the author painted a picture of the dire difficulties of the time while giving the book an overall feeling of hope. It is an inspiring and wholesome book.
