Nothing Here But Trees
I love the author Jean Van Leeuwen. In this gentle book, she paints a picture of a loving pioneer family and their struggle to create a new home in the untamed wilderness of Ohio. The illustrations are great. There is not a fast-moving or exciting plot, but the book is full of interesting information and high values.
