Review:

I am impressed with this series of early readers. The literary merit is good for the age level, and the moral value is very high. These stories have very sweet, gentle illustrations and stories that support strong family relationships, imagination, high character, and the joy of childhood. After finding this series, I realized that I had already recommended other books by Jean Van Leeuwen that are for older children. I really like her books (although I don’t recommend all of them). I recommend any of the Amanda Pig or Oliver Pig books by Jean Van Leeuwen.
