Review:

My 13-year-old daughter absolutely loved this book and said it is even better than Anne of Green Gables. Pat of Silver Bush is a heartwarming story that follows Pat from ages seven to eighteen as she experiences life on Prince Edward Island, Canada, in the early 1900s. This book is packed with wonderful messages about motherhood, love, family, trials, and the beauty of everyday life. Montgomery was a master at writing with descriptive and sensory language. This book is truly a delight. There is some romance in the book, but it is completely wholesome and good. I wouldn’t hesitate reading the book to even young children.
