Path to the Pacific—The Story of Sacagawea
The story of Sacagawea is told in an engaging and historically sound way. Although the book is not really fictionalized, it is not dry. Some original journal excerpts are included. I loved the book, but it may be a little over the heads of younger children. I recommend the book as a read-aloud for ages nine and older and as independent reading for children 12 and older.
