This series is a fun, easy read with a sweet message. Fourteen-year-old Miri is sent with other girls in her village to an academy where they are trained to be princesses. The prince will choose one of the girls from this village to marry. I like the message that you do not have to be a princess to have it all. All in all, the story is cute and creative. While the first book in the series does contain romance, it does not contain any kissing scenes, and could be appropriate for younger audiences, but the second book does contain a somewhat descriptive kiss.
Books in this series we recommend: #1: Princess Academy, #2: Palace of Stone
Books in this series we have not yet reviewed: #3: The Forgotten Sisters
