Review:

Salsa Stories by Lulu Delacre is the sweet story of a young girl who receives a gift of a journal at a family gathering on New Year’s Day and several family members begin sharing stories that she can include in her journal. I love that it contains stories of diverse Latino backgrounds and holiday traditions, and includes lessons about telling the truth, sacrifice, and the true meaning of family. The numerous recipes included at the end of the book are a wonderful surprise, as well.
