Review:

Originally published in 1944, this book tells the story of Valley Forge during the American Revolutionary War through the eyes of children living in Valley Forge with extended relatives. This book is currently out of print, but if you can find a used copy or find it at a library, it is a worthy read that features wonderful writing, very high educational value, and an engaging and wholesome story with great messages. My 9-year-old daughter and I read the book together, and we both really enjoyed the story. However, it is slower paced than many modern books today.
