Star of Wild Horse Canyon
This is a sweet, simple story for earlier readers about a boy and his wild horse. The writing is nice, with great descriptions of nature. The reader learns about life at an earlier period of American history. I also like the kind and respectful interactions between family members, which is in contrast to many popular children’s books today where family is excluded or portrayed negatively. I also liked the message of forgiveness at the end of the book.
