The Amazing Age of John Roy Lynch

By Chris Barton
Picture Books
Review:

John Roy Lynch was born a slave and remained one for most of his childhood. As the country changed, so did Lynch. He worked hard for himself, his fellow African Americans, and the United States. I found this book to be very educational, but it is on the longer side and may better hold the attention of older children.
