The Animal Adventure Club Series
The plot of this series follows the “Animal Adventure Club” in the UK at the “Pittendooey Nature Reserve.” It consists of four kids and a ranger who help animals in need. The stories are cute and fun, but not the very most engaging books for this level. There are good themes, such as teamwork, animal safety, telling the truth, and doing your part to make a difference. Because it’s set in Scotland, some of the language may be difficult to understand for young readers at first (for example, “wee” and “loch”), but it doesn’t seem significantly problematic.
