Review:

This Newbery Medal winner, written in 1961, is a fantastic book that will draw both boys and girls into the story from the very first page. Daniel is a young Jew at the time of Christ who has an intense hatred toward the Romans and lives as an outlaw in the hills. This powerful story has an engaging plot, compelling characters, and a great message. It is one of my son’s all-time favorite books.
