Review:

This book makes me wish I was a child again with time to just sit and look at a book. The detailed illustrations are absolutely delightful. The illustrations and the story inspire love of nature, kindness, optimism, strong family relationships, and hard work. The story is quite long, and although it is written well, the plot is not as engaging as some books. But the illustrations alone make the book a top pick. It would make a great book to bring on a road trip because children could study the illustrations for a long time.
