Claude Monet happily spent his days painting and tending to his flower garden. His passion was creating art that made people feel hope and joy. After WWI started he became depressed and closed himself off from the rest of the world. The only thing that brought him joy was art. Even though his eyesight began to fail in his older years, he never stopped painting his favorite scene: the reflection of the sun hitting the water as the water lilies bloomed.
