The timeless tales in this book by gifted writer Oscar Wilde are wonderfully fanciful and contain worthy messages. I like some of the short stories more than others, but they are all worth reading. Oscar Wilde’s writings are not always wholesome, but there are no worries about these stories. With great morals, a rich vocabulary, and imaginative storylines, this book makes a great read-aloud. Consider discussing the stories with your children after reading.
