Review:

This story is accompanied by heartwarming illustrations and carries a Christmas message for all ages. A stranger in town starts repairing a broken-down storefront, and townsfolk wonder who this stranger could be. A tailor? A doctor? Curious, a small girl, Lucy, knocks on his door. After offering to help him, she is delighted to learn that he is setting up a candy store. She then discovers a candy that she has never seen before—a candy cane. The kind stranger explains the symbolism of the candy cane within the story of Christ’s birth. Lucy then helps the man share the candy canes and the joyous message they represent!
