The Name Jar
Having just moved from Korea, Unhei wonders if her American classmates will like her. She wants to fit in and does not tell people her Korean name. Instead, she says she will choose a name by the following week. Her classmates help by putting possible names in a glass jar. Unhei thinks about a new American name, but one day her glass jar mysteriously disappears and Unhei learns a lesson about having confidence in herself. This a heartwarming tale that teaches children acceptance and love.
