Review:

A rich but unhappy king hears about the amazing quilts made by a seamstress who gives her remarkable quilts away to the needy and poor. When the king demands that the quiltmaker make a quilt for him, she refuses . . . unless he agrees to give away all he owns. Bright, whimsical watercolor illustrations add to this wonderful story. This is a favorite at my house.
